A woman ruler

Q is for Queen.
There are many types of queen but for this post I am zeroing in on fictional female sovereigns who are the official ruler or head of state.
These characters portray the strong and determined personality of a woman.

Queen Amidala
Padmé Amidala is a fictional character in the Star Wars science fiction franchise.
At the tender age of 14,she was already the Queen of Naboo and was already fighting to end her planet's occupation by the Trade Federation!
She is seen as a determined and strong character who is not afraid to see justice done and will do everything in her means to achieve it.
She later married Anakin Skywalker (who later became the famous Darth Vader) and borned him twins, Luke and Leia.
She died at childbirth.

Queen Serenity
Queen Serenity is the mother of Princess Serenity or better known as Sailor Moon and maternal grandmother of ChibiUsa (Small Lady).
She is portrayed as being a good ruler.
Having sacrificed her own life long ago, she appears only in spirit, as a sort of hologram.
Queen Serenity acts as a guide to help the Sailor Senshi remember who they are through Luna.

Sheena, Queen of the Jungle
Sheena is a fictional American comic book jungle girl heroine, published originally by Fiction House.
Her main power is the ability to communicate with the wild animals after having grown up with them since being orphaned in the jungle.
She was proficient in fighting with knives, spears, and bows, and improvised with makeshift weapons.
She was the first female comic-book character with her own title, with her 1937 (in Great Britain, 1938 in the United States) premiere beating Wonder Woman #1 (December 1941).

Queen Hippolyta
Queen Hippolyta is the mother of Wonder Woman.
Hippolyta first appeared in All Star Comics #8 (1941) in the same backup feature that introduced her daughter, Wonder Woman.
Her role was that of the Amazon Queen and mentor to Wonder Woman.

Queen of Sparta
Gorgo, Queen of Sparta, was the wife of King Leonidas I, who fought and died in the Battle of Thermopylae.
In the movie 300, she had an important role in the events surrounding the war with Persia.
She was always supporting her husband and even scarificed her body so that she could get an audience with the senate to convince them to send an army to aid her husband.
She was the one who killed the traitor in the Spartans' midst.

Bomb Queen
Bomb Queen is an American fictional comic book character, created by Jimmie Robinson.
The Queen is a villainess who has eliminated and banned all superheroes from the fictional city of New Port City.
She rules the city as a benevolent dictator; the limitations she has placed over the city's criminals have made her a popular leader.
For that I think she is cool!
